My Organisation
London Gatwick is the UK’s second largest airport and is a vital piece of national infrastructure that helps drive both the regional and national economy. In 2024 over 43 million passengers travelled through London Gatwick with access to over 160 short-haul and 54 long-haul destinations, served by 59 airlines.
What is the value of the AISB to your organisation?
Being part of an industry-wide network has enabled our organisation to gain deeper insight into opportunities and the chalenges that the wider sector faces. This colaboration has helped shape and energise the strategies and tactics that we use to support the growth of skils. As a member its been incredibly valuable to hear the diverse perspectives and practices shared by felow Board members. These exchanges have provided London Gatwick with practical advice and examples of best practice across the apprenticeship and skills landscape, directly contributing to our expansion of upskilling opportunities through apprenticeships.
By having a joined-up voice, the AISB has given the sector further access to Government and policy makers. This has enabled our views to be considered relating to apprenticeships and skils . It’s extremely encouraging to see the active and continuing participation from appropriate government departments at each board meeting.
