How We Deliver Impact
By combining industry expertise with a collective voice, the AISB helps shape skills and influence policy to provide solutions for shared workforce challenges. Supporting the current aviation workforce and inspiring the next generation.
-
Objectives are driven by real-world business needs, shaping skills and influencing government policy to align with industry requirements.
Working together members have a direct voice in shaping the workforce agenda for industry.
-
Promotes cross-sector working, encourages sharing of best practise between aviation organisations, government bodies and associate partnerships; to create solutions for workforce development, addressing challenges such as skills shortages, diversity, career and recruitment pipelines.
-
To meet specific employer needs, the AISB provide and share information with relevant organisations to ensure that new entrants and apprentices looking to come into the industry have the right skills required for a career in aviation.
-
The AISB collectively advocate for industry needs, influencing government policies, funding allocations, and shaping programs such as Apprenticeships, Foundation Apprenticeships and Apprenticeship units, to directly support aviation sector growth.
Aligning their objectives to support the Government’s focus on youth employment while ensuring that other workforce groups such as mid-career professionals are not overlooked.
Strategic Objectives
Delivering its work through focused strategic objectives, the AISB is supported by dedicated Task & Finish Groups that turn strategy into practical workforce actions, responding to the evolving needs of the aviation industry, by undertaking the following:
