My Organisation

The Honourable Company of Air Pilots was founded in 1929 and has as its objectives, the pursuit of the highest standards of air safety, the enhancement of the status of air pilots and air navigators and the maintenance of liaison with all authorities connected with licensing, training, and legislation affecting the pilot, or navigator whether professional, civil, military or private. It's a unique organisation, as its upper membership is restricted to qualified pilots and navigators and therefore it can truly claim to bring together the views and ideas of people who control aircraft in the air.

What is the value of the AISB to your organisation?

As the AISB has representation from all major UK airlines, from Government bodies it provides a unique environment for pursuing pilot training and other skills initiatives that support government policy and funding regulations.  It would not have been possible to complete the First Officer Apprenticeship, without the support of AISB members.  In return for this assistance, queries regarding pilot training can be fed back to the Honourable Company of Air Pilots for their specialist comment to ensure that young people pursuing a pilot career, together with their parents, are given the best possible advice and support.
